Where do you live?: Mt. Hope, Kansas

Which furbaby did you give a forever home?: May (MACY-now)

Why did you choose your particular furbaby?: Because she looked adorable and sweet and looked like she would make a great addition to the family.

Tell us about your furbaby!: Macy is quite the puppy! She loves to be outside and run, run, run. She discovered mud the other day and really doesn't like to walk on it, but sure likes to eat it. She also has an affinity for grass! She gets dirty pretty fast with that white coat of hers, but she attracts people everywhere she goes. We recieve so many compliments on her. She is wonderful. She fits with us so great...like it was meant to be. She likes to be playful, but at the same time can be 'chill' and just hang out next too us. She loves her belly rubbed and you can tell when you've hit the right spot when her foot starts to go like crazy! It was love at first site!

Is this your first time to adopt a rescue?: Yes

Who are the other members of your furbaby's family?: Brandon, my fiance, and I and Now Macy!

Macy is getting big! She is now 33lbs by her last vet visit! She loves to dig....Im not sure I like that....she found the flowers! She loves to fetch. She can sit...we had that down weeks ago. But now she can shake! She's such a smart girl and doing so well. She went home for the 4th of July for a 5hr road trip. She does just wonderful riding in a car that long. She usually just sleeps in the seat next to me! My grandma who turned 98 on the 4th was suprised when she got to see her and how big she was. Everyone remarks on how she is a beautiful dog-and that she is! We have so much fun together...I dont know what I would do without her.

At 9:41pm on July 19th, 2008, Kathleen Gresham said…: 6 months is conventional, but it depends on the vet. There is a pediatric procedure that they'll do on puppies as young as 8 weeks. It's more common in animal shelter populations. Our vet said we could do it as early as 4 months.

At 4:48pm on July 16th, 2008, Kathleen Gresham said…: She just got spayed today, so she's not feeling too good this afternoon. But otherwise she's doing well. You should checkout the Furminator for her shedding. It's been a godsend. :)
