Thank goodness, Lady is now spayed! Actually was done a week ago; we had to use our neighbor's horse trailer, as we still cannot get a collar on her. She's very sweet, very happy to be petted, and rubbed all over. I can handle her feet, her mouth, look at her teeth--all that, but if she even gets a glance at something like a collar in your hand, she just moves away. Doesn't run, just moves out of reach.

So, we fed her in the trailer for a day, then the night before her surgery fed her in there and closed her up in it. Then hauled her to the vet, who went into the trailer and gave her a shot to sedate her. Then the vet and assistant took her in, did the surgery, and put her back out in the trailer before she woke up fully. We then went out and hauled her home. Left her in the trailer for the night, then she came out the next morning. Fortunately, this was during our little "cool" spell, and it was being in the 70's at night, instead of 80's and 90's. Was just perfect timing.

She did just fine with it; and is romping around with her sons again. They actually only romp and run together about once a day, usually in the late afternoon or evening. But, now we don't have to worry about more puppies. These special nine were enough for a lifetime!
