Poor Jake ,,, seems to have all the bad luck with the gene pool!
He had a small lump on his nose that we thought was some sort of animal bite (angry chipmunk etc) then we found another one on his side ... off to the vet who was concerned enought ...
That's great! So glad to hear he's doing well after the surgery. Callie sends cuddles and kisses.

- I have to wait for Nic to come home - my pics are on Picasa and I can't figure out how to move them over - he is so photogenic though so we have a huge file growing. He and Ash are about the same colouring so they photograph well together!!
Hope you are enjoying your time in Jackson - great time to go before the endless winter sets in!
Jake is chewing on pizza crusts decorating his dried dog food dish - he is partial to a mix of dry food and forbidden food ... he can take or leave a bowl of plain dog food - clearly not food motivated!!!

So glad you joined! Can't wait for you to post some pics, so the rest of the gang can see Jake, and how happy he is. We have so enjoyed the photos you have sent us by email; I sent them on to my sisters and mom, and they are also so very happy for Jake.

- He looked like such a beautiful puppy, we loved his sweet face and blue eye, and his name reminded us of our old dog.

- Jake is a sweet mellow dog, he adores our family, our 3 girls are his best friends - his goal in life is to hang with them every minute of his day!
He loves to play and go for walks with the family - he is adjusting to life away from his farm - some things are new to him (like riding in a car or stairs!) but he is a fast learner.
- Is this your first time to adopt a rescue?
- Our old dog jake was a stray so he was rescued from a life alone - but this is the first time we have adopted thru a rescue organisation.

Jake ... another surgery, but he is doing fine now!

The good news was that after 4 nail biting days the pathologist came back with good news - lumps were benign and nothing to worry about .... the bad news was the vet carved out huge margins just incase the… Continue

Finally added pictures of Jake - the last to be adopted!
I got the pictures up - sorry about the same title (although they were all taken in Park City!!).
Jake is recovering from his shoulder surgery (apparently the only puppy to draw the short straw of bung shoulders!!?) and enjoying the extended fall season in PC this year.
He is loving life with his 3 young girls and many doggy friends that he is rounding up - his fur is nearly grown back on his shoulder and he looks very handsome.
