Macy is getting big big big! The vet says that she is right on with her weight though and growing nicely! We are going to have her spaded soon...she found the neighbor dogs and visits them frequently as there are 3 of them and Macy just has her play ducks to play with. Last night Brandon was wrestling with her and she was just loving it since he was gone for about a month and all she had to play with was me. We are going to get more pictures in October with her...and man will she ever just look like her mama. There is a lot of husky in her you can tell, but she has the look of both dogs! Everyone comments on how beautiful of a dog she is, and we couldn't agree more. Hope Jack is doing good. Just wanted to give you an update. Sorry that I dont do more with this site. I usually only do internet on my days off of work.

Macy weighs 33lbs...and that was about 2wks ago, so you know thats not what she is now! I can still lift her, but its hard!! Shes a cutie though. She gets super excited EARLY in the morning and LATE at night. We need to get her schedule straight! The nursing job is great. I love it. Macy gets to spend the day with the 'grandparents' on the days i work...so its nice to come home to her and then get to spend my days off with her too!

Lady Is Spayed Now!!

Thank goodness, Lady is now spayed! Actually was done a week ago; we had to use our neighbor's horse trailer, as we still cannot get a collar on her. She's very sweet, very happy to be petted, and rubbed all over. I can handle her feet, her mouth, look at her teeth--all that, but if she even gets a glance at something like a collar in your hand, she just moves away. Doesn't run, just moves out of reach.

So, we fed her in the trailer for a day, then the night before her surgery fed her in there… Continue

Blue Goes Home!

Blue has been adopted! A terrific family in Arkansas wanted to add him to their family, and we drove over to Tulsa, OK this afternoon to meet them halfway. They're wonderful people, and their 3 year old son just captivated Blue. I think they will be great friends!

We are so happy about this, and couldn't wait to tell the rest of you. Blue's new mom has already visited our site here, and plans on joining. Great!!

Jake has a pending adoption, too. I'll talk more about it in a few days. Tonight,… Continue

Summer school!

We went last night up to Oklahoma City for Jack and Rupert's first class together. We only have about 2 more puppy classes at Petsmart, and wanted something more, that Rupert could go to also. We found a school in OKC called PositivelyCanine, and it is run by two women who have been training dogs for many years. We had our first class with them last night.

The classes are in a much bigger area than the small training area at Petsmart. I like that a lot. There were five other dogs in the class,… Continue

Last Two Leap Day Puppies.....

.......are now posted on Carol's website. (www.ozarkdogs.org) She plans on posting them on Petfinder also today. Yea!! We so want for them the same kind of homes that all your pups found. They would, of course, have a fine life here on the farm, and will if they are not adopted, but we are hoping for something more for them. It's just the reality that Faye and I can't take them into the house, into the RV, and make them also part of our family, much as we might want to. We will not travel withou… Continue

The other Leap Day Puppies

I wanted to post photos (and just did) of the two boys we still have here at the farm. We thought they had a home waiting for them, but that has fallen through. We haven't heard from the woman whom we thought wanted them. So, we will begin to try to find them their forever home(s). They are so sweet and loving; they just want to be petted and talked to. They rip and romp with each other, but if you go out there all their attention is on you. They just love attention--human attention. We'll be gi… Continue
