Jake 1 year and 3months
Hi
Looking at all the cool pics of jake's siblings ....we showed him the picture of the shaved for summer option and he is now hot tailing it outside - not a fan of the grooming process let alone having his fur buzzed off!!! Thank goodness we live in the mountains it's not too hot here so he can take a deep breath and relax.
The continual shedding of the endless fur is getting to be a bit much - we have now gone straight to the source and vacuum Jake - he enjoys this and lies on his back, feet in the air and has the fur vacuumed out of him - we can fill a cannister in no time and he seems to snore thru the entire process - saves vacuuming the hair off the floor constantly! Wondering when it will stop - he has endured too many baths and grooming sessions to count and it still falls out!!!
He weighed in the other day at 95lbs - seems to be all leg!
Jake has mastered the art of jumping - good news for the family who had to lift him into the car for a year - bad news for the neighbours who now watch Jake clear the fence and a white flash goes by as he pursues our car not wanting to miss out on family time??? Now the fence has been extended and he is trying to dig out, good side is that will take a while as we have mainly rocks under the dirt!!! Thankfully people return him to our yard and he seems to stay after initial escape .... considering he is rarely left alone you would think he could chill once in a while!
He is hoping to join us at the beach this summer ... should be fun - he is usually a mountain dog.
He has become the fastest dog around which is great considering he was Mr go slow due to shoulder surgery - he is great on a leash though and walks nicely next to the girls, his favourite thing to do is run next to them while they bike - his idea of heaven.
Hope all the other puppies are doing well

That's great! So glad to hear he's doing well after the surgery. Callie sends cuddles and kisses.
