HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ALL THE PUPS!
Well, since we don't have a Feb. 29 this year, we're using Feb. 28 as Jack's birthday. And, in terms of "days of the week" it was a year ago yesterday--I clearly remember it was a Friday morning--that Lady started her delivery time.
We hope all is well with all of you. Lady is a fine dog, and seems to be happy to stay in the yard (most of the time!). She does like to run out of the big gate sometimes when my mom drives out, but we have gotten pretty good at getting her back in right away. One day she went down the side of the road a little ways, and later I saw her bringing something pretty big back with her. It turned out to be part of a deer carcass--YUK! Needless to say, we got rid of that pretty quick.
Jack ate a potholder the other evening, after supper. There were some left lying on the table, and he got it and ate it before I could get it away from him. We called our vet, and she recommended the hydrogen peroxide-throw up method. So that's what we did, it took about 3 dosings of 10cc each, and he finally threw it up. I threw it away. :)
Other than those little adventures, all is well with all of us. Just wanted to wish all of you a happy Saturday, and to all the pups, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY 2 ALL THE FUR BABIES! I can't believe they are a year old already...crazy how time flys! Seems like it was just yesterday I drove up to the farm to pick up Koda & got to see all of the puppies together. I hope all the babies are happy and healthy & enjoying their 1st Birthday! :-)

I so clearly remember that day and the look on your face when we came in sight of the gate and all the puppies were there. It doesn't seem at all like it been that long ago. I also remember that day when we went to check on Lady and heard little bitty whining noises, and there were the first three babies! We were so excited! Even though at that point we didn't know what in the world we were going to do with them, we couldn't help but be excited.

Happy birthday to the poochies! Callie is having a good snooze after an unprecedented romp in the snow today. Yeah, snow. In Mississippi. It was 72 on Friday. Of course it's all melted now, but she had fun.
